The person who is proving the medicine must be pre-eminently trustworthy and conscientious and during the whole time of the experiment avoid all over-exertion of mind and body, all sorts of dissipation and disturbing passions; he should have no urgent business to distract his attention; he must devote himself to careful self-observation and not be disturbed while so engaged; his body must be in what is for him a good state of health, and he must possess a sufficient amount of intelligence to be able to express and describe his sensations in accurate terms.

ஹோமியோபதி மருந்தை நிரூபிக்கும் மனிதர் , மிக சிறந்த நம்பகதன்மை உடையவராகவும் , மனசாட்சி உள்ளவராகவும்  இருக்க வேண்டும், மேலும் பரிசோதனையின் முழு நேரத்திலும் மனம் மற்றும் உடலின் அதிகப்படியான உழைப்பைத் தவிர்க்க வேண்டும் , அனைத்து வகையான சிதறல்கள் மற்றும் குழப்பமான அதிக விருப்ப உணர்வுகள் இருக்கக்கூடாது ; அவரது கவனத்தை திசை திருப்ப கூடிய  வேறு எந்த  அவசர வேலைகளும்  அவருக்கு இருக்கக்கூடாது; அவர் கவனமான சுய கவனிப்புக்கு தன்னை அவர் அர்ப்பணிக்க வேண்டும், அதனால் மருந்து நிரூபணத்திற்காக தன்னை ஆட்படுத்திக் கொண்டிருக்கும் போது,  அவர் எந்த தொந்தரவிற்கும் இலக்காகக்  கூடாது ; அவருடைய  உடல் அவருக்கு தேவையான வகையில்  ஒரு நல்ல ஆரோக்கிய நிலையில் இருக்க வேண்டும், மேலும் அவர் தமது   உணர்ச்சிகளை துல்லியமாக வெளிப்படுத்தவும் , விவரிக்கவும் போதுமான அளவு புத்திசாலித்தனம் கொண்டவராக இருக்க வேண்டும்.
