§ 61

Had physicians been capable of reflecting on the sad results of the antagonistic employment of medicines, they had long since discovered the grand truth, THAT THE TRUE RADICAL HEALING ART MUST BE FOUND IN THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF SUCH AN ANTIPATHIC TREATMENT OF THE SYMPTOMS OF DISEASE; they would have become convinced, that as a medicinal action antagonistic to the symptoms of the disease (an antipathically employed medicine) is followed by only transient relief, and after that is passed, by invariable aggravation, the converse of that procedure, the homoeopathic employment of medicines according to similarity of symptoms, must effect a permanent and perfect cure, if at the same time the opposite of their large doses, the most minute doses, are exhibited. But neither the obvious aggravation that ensued from their antipathic treatment, nor the fact that no physician ever effected a permanent cure of disease of considerable or of long standing unless some homoeopathic medicinal agent was accidentally a chief ingredient in his prescription, nor yet the circumstances that all the rapid and perfect cures that nature ever performed (§ 46), were always effected by the supervention upon the old disease of one of a similar character, ever taught them, during such a long series of centuries, this truth, the knowledge of which can alone conduce to the benefit of the sick.

எதிரான குணமுள்ள மருந்துகளைக் பயன்படுத்துவதால் உண்டாகும் இத்தகைய வருந்தத்தக்க விளைவுகளைப் பற்றி மருத்துவர்கள் (அலோபதி) சிந்தித்து பார்த்திருந்தால், நோய்க்குறிகளுக்கு எதிராக செயல்படும் நேர் எதிர்பண்புடைய மருத்துவச் சிகிச்சைமுறைக்கு நேரெதிரான இந்த உண்மையான அடிப்படை கூறுசார்ந்த மருத்துவக்கலை  (ஹோமியோபதி ) தான் சிறந்தது என்ற பிரமாண்டமான  உண்மையை நீண்ட காலத்திற்கு முன்பே கண்டறிந்திருப்பார்கள். நோயின் அறிகுறிகளுக்கு எதிரான  மருந்துகளின் ( நேர் எதிரான குணமுள்ள மருத்துமுறையில் கொடுக்கப்பட்ட மருந்துகள்)  செயல்பாட்டால் தற்காலிகமான நோய்த்தணிவு மட்டுமே உண்டாகிறது , சிறிது காலம் கழித்து தவறாமல் நோய்க்குறிகள் அதிகரிக்கிறது என்பதை முன்பே உள்ளுணர்ந்து அவர்கள் அறிந்திருக்க வேண்டும். இந்த செயலுக்கு நேர்மாறாக, நோய்க்குறிகளுக்கு ஒத்த தன்மையுள்ள மருந்தினைக் கொடுக்கும் ஹோமியோபதி மருத்துவமுறையில் மருந்துகளைக் கொடுக்கும் பொழுது, அது நிரந்தரமான மற்றும் முழுநிறைவான நலமாக்கலை நிச்சயம் ஏற்படுத்துகிறது, அதே சமயத்தில்  அவர்கள் பயன்படுத்திய மிகுதியான அளவு  மருந்துகளுக்கு  எதிராக,  ஹோமியோபதி முறையில் கொடுக்கப்படும் மிக நுண்ணிய அளவு மருந்துகளே நலமாக்கலை கொடுக்கிறது என்பது காட்சிப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஆனால்,  நேர் எதிர்  பண்புடைய மருத்துவச் சிகிச்சையினால் நோய்கள் தவறாமல் அதிகரிக்கின்றன என்பதும், அல்லது அத்தகைய மருத்துவச்  சிகிச்சையின்  போது பரிந்துரை செய்யப்பட்ட   மருந்தின் முக்கியமான மூலப்பொருள்களில் உள்ள  ஹோமியோபதி விதிகளுக்கு பொருத்தமுள்ள மருந்தினால் மட்டுமே  அந்நோய் குணமாக்கப்பட்டதன்றி , அம்மருத்துவர் யாராலும் அந்த நோயை நிரந்தரமாக குணப்படுத்தவில்லை  என்பதும், அல்லது நோயை விரைவாகவும்  ,முழுமையாகவும்  நலமாக்கும் இயற்கையின் செயல்பாடு போலவே  ( மணிமொழி 46 ) ஏற்கனவே அங்கிருந்த   பழைய நோயிற்கு  ஒத்த இயல்புடைய வேறு ஒரு நோய் இடைமறித்துத் தாக்குவதால் அந்நோய் எப்போதும் குணமாகிறது என்பதும் , இதுவே நோயாளிக்கு நன்மை தருவதாக இருக்கிறது  என்ற உண்மையையும், அறிவையும் கடந்த பல நூற்றாண்டுகளாக அம்மருத்துவர்களுக்கு (அலோபதியர்களுக்கு) கற்றுக் கொடுக்கப்படவில்லை.
